swabs, screws, scraps of paper - assembled into fragile structures that defy their usual roles. A hard object wobbles under the weight of an almost weightless one; something meant to hold is instead held in place. These makeshift assemblages exist in precarious balance, as if they could collapse at any moment. The photographs were taken in natural light from a fixed point throughout the day, and the image taken at different times is applied to each object, condensing the shifting hues of natural light into a single image. Though the objects themselves are achromatic, they absorb color through this process, transforming themselves into ephemeral entities that exist only in the world of the photograph. Unlike Accumulated Times or A Year in Form, which demand a kind of quiet contemplation, this series embraces imperfection as if offering generous permission to sleep in. The intention was not to construct something monumental, but rather to create objects that "cannot strive"-things that feel a little unstable, a little helpless. There is a certain tenderness in their awkwardness, an understated charm in their inability to fulfill their assigned roles. In these delicate compositions I find a reflection of the quiet, fragile relationships I dream of - a space where even the weak, the unbalanced, and the makeshift are allowed to simply be. <img space experiences over the course of a year. A white box was placed in the center of an empty backyard storage shed, facing the cardinal directions. Each side of the box was photographed every ten minutes for an entire year in the naturally lit space. The resulting images were arranged with the vertical axis representing the passage of light over a single day and the horizontal axis capturing the progression over 365 days. Each final image is a composite of approximately 52,560 individual photographs, with four separate works corresponding to the four cardinal directions - documenting the light experienced by each side of the box over the course of the year. The resulting images capture not only natural variations in light - such as the shifting color of sunlight and the changing length of days - but also artificial interruptions like passing cars and motion sensor lights, revealing a complex, dynamic portrait of the space’s luminous experience. <img width="1920" height="757" width_o="1920" height_o="757" wasteful process. Whenever I go through the creative process, I often feel a lingering sense of guilt about the waste I create. This project grew out of the idea that repurposing waste to create new images might alleviate some of that guilt. More than just the production of the work, the focus here is on the actions that precede and follow the creative process - regularly collecting a certain amount of trash from the street I live on, sorting it, and properly disposing of all the collected materials after temporary use. The trash collected in a day is used to create a scene in the studio, where chance encounters of objects - from plastic bottles and cigarette butts to unexpected items like broken eyeglass frames and mahjong tiles - reflect the intersection of countless anonymous individuals in the metropolis, revealing a fragmented portrait of Tokyo from the ground up. <img width="1280" height="1920" By visualizing this daily flux, the project seeks to share the fresh surprise of how profoundly even a white object can be tinted by light. It invites viewers to recognize the richness of these everyday transformations—an aspect often overlooked in daily life but vividly apparent when seen through this photographic process. <img photography exist without capturing the outside world? Instead of photographing external subjects, the project records the cumulative traces of repeated physical actions over time. A single sheet of white paper is folded once, then photographed by the window where the fold casts a shadow. The image is printed, folded again, and rephotographed, with each new fold creating an additional line in the image. Since only the most recent fold is physically present, it appears darker and more pronounced than the previous ones. This process was repeated about 500 times. As previous fold marks gradually faded, new ones accumulated, creating a layered history of physical interactions. The resulting images have no fixed endpoint - each of the 500 iterations could stand alone as a work. The series also includes variations using different gestures, such as tearing or crumpling the paper. By continuously documenting these traces of action, the project redefines photography as a means of visualizing the evolving record of processes rather than external subjects. It explores how an image can emerge solely from repeated interactions with a material, highlighting the interplay between physical gesture, time, and light. folding <img width="764" height="1080" Flea markets are filled with all kinds of things. Among the antique-looking vases and everyday items still fit for use, there are occasionally objects whose original purpose is completely unknown. Even the sellers often have no idea what they were meant to be. Freed from their intended functions, they seem to exist in a state of playful liberation. Embracing this sense of freedom, I experimented with these unidentified objects to create compositions that are equally undefined. The resulting images are "something created out of something unknown"—hard to categorize, difficult to assign meaning to, yet perhaps valuable precisely because they can be enjoyed without
